New updates in Articulate 360 – for accessible learning

Jun 23, 2022 | Articulate

Articulate 360 continually improves its award-winning authoring tools, such as Rise 360 and Storyline 360, to ensure the highest quality diverse learning every time. The main focus is that a course is accessible to every learner, regardless of impairment, and can be used optimally. That’s why Articulate brings together many new features in the authoring tools that enable accessible learning.

Multiple screen reader options for accessible learning

To enable learners with physical impairments to understand and use the various elements of a course, such as headings, links, subparagraphs, or lists, navigation elements are customized. Articulate 360 enables compatibility with many popular screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA or Voice Over. Articulate explains in a whitepaper what new features are now available to enable accessible learning:

  • Color, font size and line spacing can be customized for better readability
  • Content zoom
  • Mute audio
  • Repetition of individual slides
  • Subtitle
  • VoiceOver for videos without sound
  • Alt text to explain the content of images
  • Contrast of elements according to UI

It is important that the course can be customized – because each learner is different and should be able to experience a course according to his or her preferences and abilities, which exploits his or her possibilities and supports where help is needed. Articulate is constantly expanding its features, so by subscribing, all the technical novelties and features are always available to create outstanding e-learning projects. This means that there are no more limits to learning!
